Jim Nolt has written poetry, since 1970, despite the impact of the training necessary to complete a graduate degree in engineering from Stanford. He has published several books of his material. (He has been appointed the “Poet Laureate” of the Greenhorn Creek.) His signature piece is a mere three lines of eight words: Your Gift. / Do not seek it. / Free it.
